Pastor Bryan Matthews
Pastors Bryan and Rhonda Matthews are the senior and founding pastors of New Life Christian Center. They were married on August 29, 1981. They are the proud parents of one son, Carter.
In February 1995, Pastors Bryan and Rhonda Matthews answered the call of God to open a youth outreach center in Augusta, Georgia. Before long, parents were seeing such an evident change in their teens that they started attending the youth services along with them. With such tremendous growth, Pastors Bryan and Rhonda saw the need to begin having services to meet the needs of the entire family. They began praying about starting a church that would cater to all age groups, and in August of 1995, New Life Christian Center was birthed out of prayer, fasting and faith that God would meet their every need.
Pastor Rhonda Matthews
Pastor Rhonda Matthews serves as the praise and worship leader at New Life Christian Center. She was never classically trained in music, but has become an accomplished psalmist and song-writer. Pastor Rhonda teaches and leads corporate prayer every Tuesday. With a true passion for prayer and teenagers, she has created an environment where families can experience the presence of God.
Pastor Phillip Maxwell
Pastors Phillip and Amy Maxwell are the associate pastors of New Life Christian Center. They have been a vital part of this ministry since it’s start in 1995. They were married on June 11, 1994 and are the proud parents one daughter, Harlee Raye.
Pastor Phillip is a 1994 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He loves to minister on the mission field and makes yearly trips to Russia and other countries around the world. Pastor Phillip oversees several helps ministry positions in the church as well as coordinating the day-to-day business affairs of the church. In November of 2006, God led Pastor Phillip to take over Contagious, the Junior High Ministry of New Life.

Pastor Amy Maxwell
Pastor Amy Maxwell serves as our Children’s pastor for Dive Deep Kids Church. Pastor Amy is also the executive secretary for New Life Christian Center. Pastors Amy and Phllip have walked beside Pastors Bryan and Rhonda since the early years of the ministry. Pastor Amy’s tireless dedication as the right-hand of the ministry has allowed her to serve in many different areas. She leads Exhilarate Prayer, serves as Special Events Coordinator and can even be found in the nursery if needed. Even without formal training, Pastor Amy has successfully run a ministry of excellence for over 15 years.
Pastor Eli Hidalgo
Pastor Eli Hidalgo has been the Youth Pastor of Driven Youth Ministry at New Life Christian Center since 2004. Touching over a hundred young people weekly, Pastor Eli realizes that children and youth ministries are not just guaranteeing our future but also our present.
Pastor Eli was born and raised in Texas. In 1997 he graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Pastoral Ministry. After college, he evangelized in camps, retreats, and rallies to youth and children in the panhandle area of Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. Pastor Eli has worked along side many denominations and has been instrumental in the development of youth ministries through worship, and evangelism. Before coming to Georgia, while continuing to evangelize, Pastor Eli also worked as youth pastor and worship leader within the local youth ministries in Texas and Oklahoma.
Pastor Terry Eubanks
Pastor Terry Eubanks is New Life Christian Center’s Pastor of Pastoral Care. Before attending New Life in late 1999, Pastor Terry graduated with an Associates Degree in Ministry and Counseling from The Tabernacle Bible College in 1976. He was called into the ministry in 1976 by the Bishopville Tabernacle Church in Bishopville, SC. He pastored in The Salvation Ministries Church in Williston, SC in 1981 and went on to be an Associate Minister to the single adults at The Orlando Christian Center under the leadership of Benny Hinn. Pastor Terry has served in the Mission fields of Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru.
He became an elder of New Life Christian Center in 2003, began to Pastor the senior adults in 2004 and was asked to become the Pastoral Care Pastor in 2005. Terry is married to Susan and between them have six children.
At New Life, Pastor Terry serves as the leader of the Seasoned Adults Living Triumphantly (or S.A.L.T.), a board member of H.P.S.O., head of the Angel Food Ministries and coordinates the Benevolence Ministry. He is also the leader of Prayer and Alter Workers.
Nicole Olson
Nicole Olson is the Nursery and Preschool Director at New Life Christian Center. She began serving in the Kids Ministry under Pastor Amy when she was fifteen and joined the staff officially in 2000. Nicole has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Aiken Technical College. She oversees 11 different departments in our Nursery and Preschool Ministry as well as serving in Dive Deep Kids Ministry.
Wendy Bankes
Wendy Bankes is the Word Shop Manager and Head of Operations at New Life Christian Center. She has been involved in New Life since its conception. She was a young person in Pastor Bryan and Pastor Rhonda’s youth ministry (J.A.M Ministries). She worked as a volunteer for many years, and as the church began to grow, she was needed full-time. Wendy has also worked and is working within our Children’s Ministry, and has been a key player in the success of this ministry. She has brought a personality and touch to these ministries that we have found not only to be an asset but has made it enjoyable to work along side her.
Roy Barrett
Roy Barrett is the Technical Director for New Life and has responsibility for all aspects of media including audio, video, lighting, print, multimedia, marketing and advertising. In addition, he is responsible for all network and computer functions for both New Life and New Life Christian Academy. Roy and his wife of 20 years, Tina have attended New Life since 2000. Roy began as a Media Team volunteer in 2000 and joined the staff of New Life in January of 2006. Roy also plays guitar on the New Life Praise and Worship Team.
Roy attended Georgia Tech and has an extensive background in corporate marketing and communications. For the 10 years prior to joining the staff of New Life, Roy was employed as Global Director of Marketing for a major US manufacturer. Roy also owns a IT/graphic design company that opened in 2001. Roy’s experiences have taken him to over 20 countries and he has a strong passion for bringing the awesomeness of God to all the people of the world utilizing creative and exciting technologies.
Carey Sisler
Carey Sisler is the Finance Manager and Human Resource Director for New Life Christian Center and New Life Christian Academy. She handles all of the day-to-day financial responsibilities including but not limited to the accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll as well as looks after the human resource functions for New Life.
Carey began as a media duplicating volunteer in 2005 and joined the staff of New Life in June of 2006. She started out as the Office Manager and was promoted to the Finance Manager and Human Resource Director in November of 2006. Carey attended Augusta State University with a focus on Business Management. She has worked in accounting for over 10 years and also has past experience in human resources. Carey has an enthusiasm for financial accountability and excellence, and is excited to bring her knowledge and experience as God moves New Life to the next level!
Carey married her wonderful husband, Matt in June 2007. She has three beautiful daughters, Madison, Rachel, and Emma. Carey serves anywhere needed and currently serves in Patch of Heaven as the 1-year old teacher for every Wednesday night service and also serves in the Word Shop on Sunday mornings.
Jeremy Mace
Jeremy Mace serves as a graphic designer for New Life Christian Center. Jeremy moved to the South after a brief stint as a college student and comic book writer for his own independent company. He is self-educated in traditional design principles and uses a mix of resources to produce media. He lives in North Augusta, South Carolina with wife and two children. He and his wife serve as Youth Leaders for Driven, Prayer and Alter Workers as well as serve in the Media Team.
