Our Mission:

To Effectively and Fervently minister the love and power of God in individual lives. To let individuals know that God has a purpose for them and that He wants the best for them. He is more than willing to Go BEYOND the limits to obtain what it is you need and what it is you desire.

Ephesians 3:20
Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]

Our Vision:

To Go BEYOND our Marital Status and step into the Glory of God.

We are called to be His Glory (praise, greatness and honor that people can see or sense).

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Even though we are a group that consists of single people, we are not limited to the box we check on our employment application. We are a group triggered to knowing who we are in Christ. We believe that developing your relationship with Jesus Christ will better equip you for the future relationships (marriage or even working with fellow employees) that God has for you. That is why we get together every other Friday for a time of Worship and studying the Word of God. We believe the Word of God is true and should be evident in our lives. When the Word of God, along with His Spirit, becomes evident we will learn how to love God and love people. We will begin to develop true relationships. We believe that it is important to spend a lot of time on your relationship with Jesus Christ, so that when Mr. or Mrs. Right comes along we are not thrown off our course, or become distracted from our life with Jesus.

Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our Leaders:

Beyond is lead by Pastor Curt and Sandy Mixon. Pastor Curt is originally from Augusta, GA. He became a partner of New Life in August of 1997. In 1998 God called him to move to Tulsa and attend Rhema Bible Training Center. During his training, he met his beautiful bride and they were married in August of 1999. (Even though Pastor Curt left New Life in the natural he continued the spiritual connection that God had created inside of him for New Life Christian Center.) Pastor Sandy is originally from Texas and also attended Rhema Bible Training Center. In August of 2002 God called them to move back to Georgia thereby beginning to fulfill the calling that God had for them.

They have been the Singles Pastors of New Life for 5 years and they have been married for 8 years. They have two precious children who think that the Beyond Singles are the greatest people that exist.

“If I could let someone know one thing it would be how much we love them, but most important how much God loves them.” Pastor Curt.

Activities:

We do fun events such as Lazer Tag, Bowling, the occasional scavenger hunt, horseback riding, trips to the beach, and going out to eat at restaurants. Then there is my personal favorite, each year we make a trip to Orlando for Rock The Universe! This is the best fun I have ever encountered in any event we do. We spend about 3-1/2 days together and get to know each other. We eat out and listen to the different bands and ride all the rides MULTIPLE times! We also have special times of fellowship where we just get together at someone’s home to talk and laugh. We get together at least once a month if not more.
